Don't you love that moment when the house lights are dimmed and a performance is about to begin. You know something magical is about to happen right before your eyes and there is the thrill in the delight of everyone sharing it together. Whether it is a comedy, musical or drama, you know you will be thoroughly entertained by professional actors in the oldest, most historic venue in South Carolina. What a treat!

It is only through the power of collective giving that Charleston Stage is able to have this professional theatre experience. Charleston Stage has enjoyed a strong history of financial support that has allowed audiences to share the magic for 35 years through annual giving. Gifts of all sizes are welcomed and appreciated – collectively making an impact!

Funds donated to the Charleston Stage Fund, permit Charleston Stage to:

  • Provide low cost tickets to over 10,000 school students annually including underserved schools and students.
  • Secure Professional Guest Actors from New York for leading roles.
  • Underwrite a team of six full-time Professional Resident Actors who light the Dock Street Stage, as well as, serve as teachers to over 300 theatre school students each season.
  • Secure Professional Musicians to accompany the full-scale musicals.
  • Create imaginative and fully staged productions with unique original sets built in their own shop by Charleston Stage's full-time technical staff.
  • Provide over 35 area high school students hands-on backstage learning experiences through the free High School TheatreWings Apprentice Program.

Just imagine what Charleston Stage could do if everyone gave. Think of the possibilities! Please make your gift today online and help keep world-class theatre in our own backyard. You will be glad you did!
