"We had the honor of attending HELIUM yesterday in Charleston. A friend had told us about the storyline and how it was a poignant and realistic representation of living with Alzheimer's. My father-in-law is in advanced stages, and I have experienced it in my family first-hand also. My husband and I laughed out loud, and cried a few times (one Kleenex was not enough!). We were in the front row, and could actually look the actors in the eye. We felt their emotion as they wrapped the last of the series. My husband and I couldn't even talk for several minutes after the play."
Beth Fordham

"I have never been to a play that touched me as much as HELIUM! My Mother is in a nursing home with this disease and its been so hard to watch it happen. But i do love the sweet and funny side the play showed me. Not a dry eye that I could see Sunday afternoon including myself when those yellow balloons floated off! Thank you!"    Scott Wells, via Facebook

"Bravo to the cast of HELIUM, especially to 'Gramms!' We laughed, we cried, we cheered.........it was a brilliant performance! I'm an English teacher, so I know a good production when I see one! My daughter absolutely loved the play! She was laughing up a storm, especiallly on the 'ginger, not cinnamon' line! Hilarious. Also loved the Star Trek scene! We will not soon forget Helium.......and we'll never look at a balloon in the same way again!"  Wendy Christensen

"HELIUM moved me from laughter to tears and back again. Miss Molly is such an endearing character and her 'flights of fancy' are everything from enchanting to hilarious."

"[HELIUM] Excellent and humorous message of understanding and acceptance of the elderly and mental capacity for a range of ages that many families face today."

"SPELLING BEE had me laughing out-loud from beginning to end."

"[SPELLING BEE] was absolutely hilarious. I laughed all night and just had a wonderful time. The audience participation was of course a highlight."

"We so enjoyed CHRISTMAS CAROL last evening. Having recently relocated from upstate NY we were very pleased to find a great venue to see wonderful performances. We decided to grab a bite to eat as we had tickets to the early show. What a blessing to eat and watch the parade on King St. It was a day to remember and we look forward to seeing many more."

"I must tell you that THE PRODUCERS was an outstanding production! The entire cast was top-notch and very impressive. The band and scenery were great also. This has to be the finest local production that I have attended in the 25 years that I have lived in Charleston. It even surpassed many of the Broadway touring companies that come through this area."  Anthony R. Oglietti, Patron

"I recently obtained season tickets. Went to see THE PRODUCERS on Friday night and loved it! I am very excited about a fun-filled list of activities with Charleston Stage!"

"I find all of the productions I have attended to be entertaining, sometimes informative and always worthwhile."

"You all are doing a GREAT job! We love the interns, love the joy at the facility and your programs."

"Your people are wonderful! The ushers, phone operators, etc. Everytime!"

"What a wonderful way to start the holiday season with CHRISTMAS CAROL. The production was very well done, the actors excelled and the singing was beautiful. Now I'm excited about Christmas."

"Every year that Charleston Stage gifts the community with its production of CHRISTMAS CAROL, the Company outdoes its prior production! This year is no exception. We especially enjoyed the music -- beautiful, delightful, moving, memorable. Our children sat enraptured through two hours of theatre and cheered uproariously at the end. Thank you for Christmas come early!

"I thoroughly enjoy your productions, especially your musicals. Thank you!!"

"Beautiful sets and a great theater."

"STEEL MAGNOLIAS actresses were hiliarous. And, the stage setting was perfect. It really looked like a beauty shop. Great job everyone."

"STEEL MAGNOLIAS was full of humor and excellent performances by all. Fantastic story and wonderful show for a girls night out!"

"Excellent for all ages. TWELFTH NIGHT makes Shakespeare's words come alive and they are actually understood! Setting the play in the roaring '20s was genius--definitely a smart move on the director's part and the story lent itself perfectly. You will laugh from beginning to end and the performances are not to be missed!

"TWELFTH NIGHT was incredibly funny! The costumes, the set, the accents...everything added up to one unique and enjoyable Shakespeare experience."

"CABARET was the best production that we have attended in a long time. Both my husband and I really enjoyed it. We've seen Cabaret with Joel Gray in Toronto and another production of it and this exceeded our expectations. The actors and stage production were powerful. We forgot that we were in Charleston and thought we were in NYC! Our applause to everyone involved. Thank you."

"CABARET was one of the best (maybe the best) productions we have seen here in Charleston in the past four years."

"Like being in New York, except it's HERE!"
