Charleston Stage, in residence at the Historic Dock Street Theatre and celebrating its 46th season, is South Carolina’s largest Resident Professional theater company and one of South Carolina's leading arts institutions. Charleston Stage's 46th season includes six MainStage productions, two Family Series shows, and a series of education programs that reach over 20,000 youth annually. The company operates with a full-time staff of 37 and a budget of $3.8 million dollars.
Scenic carpenter
Charleston Stage, South Carolina’s largest professional theatre company, in residence at the Historic Dock Street Theatre, seeks a Scenic Carpenter who with other staff will be responsible for construction of all assigned scenery pieces for all shows/events; also load-in, set-up and strike. Under the direction of the Technical Director the Scenic carpenter constructs scenery to drawings and specifications provided. Assist with rigging, scene painting, and props as needed. You should have a minimum 2 years of experience in a professional theater setting. This is a full-time, 12-month position.
